We had a great time in Vegas. We weren't big winners but we sure had a lot of fun playing Indiana Jones & Wizard of Oz slot machines. Happy Anniversary to us!

Under the Weather

Maddi and I have been at home for the last couple of days because she has been running a fever. Sometimes she gets so exhausted that she just naps wherever she stops. Hopefully this is all over very soon.

At the Office

I had to pick Maddi up early from Lisa's today so she had to hang out at work for a little while this afternoon. She found a box, a pen, and a calculator and entertained herself for quite a while.

Shoes & Pearls

Maddi must have noticed Grady's blog about trying out other people's shoes because now she does it every day. She also loves to play in my jewelry.

Mommy just thinks this picture is funny because she caught the shoe in mid air after I dropped it I do pretty well in Mommy's crocs

Omaha

We traveled to Omaha for Labor Day weekend in the motor home with Karl, Janet, Kallan, & Karlee to visit The Farley's, Minckler's, and the Craig Gray family who also were visiting for the weekend. Maddi very much enjoyed the motor home although we had a little bit of an issue with all of the buttons within her reach. We visited Sarah's dorm room (very nice) & walked around Creighton campus, enjoyed Jim's fabulous cooking - way to go on the dump cake!, spent some time watching Marin carry around Sammie (Karl's dog - I think Craig & Lucia may need to do some dog shopping now), and just enjoyed everyone's company. It was a nice relaxing trip though it went by so quickly. Thanks for all the great food, fun, and a place to stay!

Sitting with Daddy on the cooler that was blocking me from going up and down the steps on The Farley's deck I took a little nap on the couch in the motor home - so comfy.

I really loved this big steering wheel in the motor home. Mommy even drove a couple of hours on the way home - she did pretty well but I was not happy that I couldn't sit on her lap so Daddy and I sat on the couch and took a nap.

Purses and Jewelry

While Mommy was packing to go to Omaha for the weekend, I found some things I liked in her closet- a purse and a necklace. Don't I look very fashionable?

Fun at Aunt Shawnette & Uncle Charley's

We went to Shawnette & Charley's last Sunday for a family lunch and Maddi was of course the center of attention. She enjoyed playing outside and having all of the great food. She had her 15 month check up yesterday and everything is great. She now weighs 23 1/2 lbs. and is 30 7/8 inches tall. Her weight and height stay in the 50th percentile while her head circumference remains "above average". The doctor says some of us just have big brains!

Just Messin' Around

Maddi's personality continues to show through every day so I thought we would share some of her silly moments with you all. She is continuing to love to go to Miss Lisa's every day; there is a new boy there who is just a couple of months older than Maddi and they seem to enjoy each other a lot. She is learning new words - mama, dada, thank you, juice, shoes (which sound very much alike but we can tell which one she is referrring to!), puppy, bye bye, but of course the pointing and grunting are pretty effective in getting her what she wants. She loves playing with her puzzles and looking at books and dancing to Beyonce is always a favorite!

My future's so bright - I gotta wear shades! Sprinkler fun In the car I like to try and eat my toes!

I find it easier to help Mom with the laundry if I sit in the basket with the clothes
