Breathing Treatments

We've been having to give Maddi breathing treatments for the last week. She does pretty well with them and even holds the face mask herself.
What am I supposed to do with this again? Here Mom, you try it first.
Ahh, I got it now... this isn't so bad.

Converting the Crib

Since I caught Maddi trying to climb out of the crib we decided it was time to convert the crib into a toddler bed. Things are going pretty well with it so far, she hasn't fallen out and she meets me at her bedroom door every morning with a blanket and Tad.
Good job, Dad! Of course, she had to try out jumping on the bed

Thanksgiving

Hi, Hi, Hi, Hi, Hi, Hi, - for those of you that were in Hamilton for Thanksgiving, you know this was one of Maddi's favorite words. We had a great visit with everyone and we did miss you Jim, Courtney, & Minckler family!

Afternoon at the Park

Sunday was such a nice day that in between running some errands we made a stop at the park. Maddi had a blast going down the slides!
After we got home from grocery shopping, I sat down and looked at the Toys R Us catalog in the refrigerator while Mommy & Daddy put away the groceries.

Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun. Maddi was pretty hard to keep up with as she was just running all over the place while we were out trick or treating. She didn't really care too much about the candy but was nice enough to say "thank you" at each house. As you will see in the photo below, she is ripping the button off of her costume; the other one already nowhere to be found.

Texas

Last week we went to Texas to visit the Gerloff family (Misty's cousin April's family). It was Maddi's first time on an airplane, and I must say she did very well. No ear issues and other than kicking the poor man's seat in front of us, there were no huge disagreements. We had a great visit and hope to do it again sometime soon.

This Barbie Jeep was so much fun - Mommy & Daddy I think I need one soon!

Baby Shower

Maddi has had a pretty rough month as far as health goes. After having pneumonia, we took her to the ER at 2:00 AM last Monday morning because she was having difficulty breathing we thought which later we found out to be croup. Apparently, that is going around here. When we went to the pediatrician Tuesday, she said she had given 3 kids shots for the same thing that day. Anyway, we found very quickly that croup is awful!!! She recovered pretty quickly with her antibiotics and steroids. She has been pretty healthy for the last week so let's all pray she stays that way. Sunday afternoon we went to a very entertaining baby shower for some friends of ours. As you will see below, even the guys got involved.
Hanging with Mommy while she is getting ready to go to the baby shower Mommy kept trying to get me to smile but I preferred my serious look I thought this duck was pretty cool and that it should be my lounge chair for the shower.
Go, Daddy, Go! The men had a race to see who could finish drinking their beer through a bottle (with a newborn nipple) the fastest. Daddy came in second!

Weddings & Family Gatherings

Maddi is feeling much much better. As most of you know, we found out Thursday that she has pneumonia. After nose and throat swabs, a catheter, chest x-ray, and blood work, that's the diagnosis we got. Needless to say, Thursday was a very traumatic day. Anyway, she is feeling better, still gets tired pretty quickly, but hasn't had a fever since Friday. Yay!!! We attended a friend's wedding Saturday night and then had lunch in Hartville on Sunday.
