Happy Father's Day & Outside Fun

Hope all the Daddy's out there had a great Father's Day! We had a nice day with Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Randy, Aunt Shawnette & Uncle Charley, and Uncle Carl. They all came to our house and I got to eat pizza!!! Yum Yum Yum
Practicing my handwriting skills The pool is cool and all, but really I'd rather splash around from the outside, run around the yard, splash around from the outside, run around the yard, splash around.... you get where I'm going with this
Sharing my sidewalk chalk with Aunt Shawnette
This is Baby Charlie - Mommy's friend Lindsey's baby - isn't she cuuuute? I can't wait to play with her when she is bigger.

Week 2

We are into week 2 now on the building remodel and things seem to be going very well. As far as I know, all of the frame work on the ground level is finished and a lot of the floor work for the 2nd level is in place. The heating & air and plumbing crews are there this week with an expected finish time of late Wednesday afternoon. Then come some inspections - everyone cross your fingers for us! I know it's hard to see in some of these pictures what everything is - I sometimes have a hard time myself when I'm inside the building. But I'll do my best to explain.
Bridal dressing rooms - far right is the entrance and four rooms are inside. The front entryways have been cut out - far left is entrance to the floral design area, middle is tuxedo dressing rooms and alterations, and right is entrance to the bridal gown, bridesmaids, etc... space
A bathroom is on each side - going back to tuxedo dressing rooms and alterations

New Building

The remodel on our new store (which Linda's Flowers, Karl's Tuxedos, & Karl's Bridal will all be moving into) began at 6 AM Monday morning. By the time Maddi and I got there at about 8:45, they had already torn down walls in the back warehouse area and were carrying the pieces out to the dumpster. Karl has a tight schedule that hopefully they can all stick to. I heard today that the framing is up for the dressing rooms so I will hopefully get a chance tomorrow afternoon to stop by and see that. I will post new pictures as we go along. Wish us luck!!! Yep, that's a putting green. The previous business was a Turf Supply Company. We're thinking we can do some cool promotions for some prom discounts with that out front.
This will be the front display area for tuxedos and flowers Big empty space soon to be filled with bridal gowns and a design area for the flower shop. They are also building a second level in this space so that we can move our tuxedo inventory into the upstairs area.

Happy Birthday Brooke!

Sunday afternoon we went to Cousin Brooke's 1st birthday party. She got some really cool presents and Maddi was sure to test them all out for her as she was opening them. Cousin Mylee (who was born on the same day as Brooke) will have her party in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see everyone again!
Yum, Yum, Yum..... chocolate cake
Yep, this one works. Nice present! Went down the slide backwards - didn't hurt a bit!
After we got home from Brooke's party Mom got the bubbles out. I had so much fun trying to catch them.

Following Maddi

Seems a lot of what we do these days is follow Maddi wherever she wants to go. And most of the time that is anywhere outside. I'm not sure she would ever get upset if we just stayed outside all day long.
Isn't this where these sunglasses go? See if you can catch me!

Congrats Caleb

Way to go Caleb!!! We traveled to Hamilton over Memorial weekend to see Caleb Gray graduate from High School. Even though it was very warm in the gym, it was very nice to be there for Caleb's speeches (he was class president AND Valedictorian after all). Maddi & Grady still didn't have much interaction although it was a little more than at Christmas. Maddi got more birthday presents and plenty of attention and I only managed to break one thing while I was there. I think I speak for Kris Minckler also when I say "sorry about the ceiling fan"! Hopefully we will be invited back. Just kidding - Bill said we could break anything we wanted as long as we came back! And we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Lake in July.
They must be so tired Daddy was giving me a hard time when I started pulling on Grady's Cubs blanket. Go Cardinals!!! Playing with Amanda
So..... how've ya been?
Here Uncle Jim, you have a snack too!
This book and Grandma Elaine are hilarious :)

Party Time

Maddi's birthday party was this afternoon and she had the best time. She got some way cool presents and had so much fun playing with them. Chris & I are happy to get back to somewhat of a normal schedule after our busy times at work. We are looking forward to a few days off and seeing the Gray family this weekend as we are traveling to Hamilton to see Caleb graduate.
Playing with Clippo Hippo
Mmmmmmm.......... why have I never gotten to do this before?!
This horse is pretty cool - I can ride it and it neighs and wiggles it's tail
Big thanks to everyone for coming - I love my new clothes, books, and toys! Luv, Maddi

Go Maddi - it's your birthday!

So it's not technically her birthday yet - but only 3 hours away. We can't believe how fast this year has flown by. I am sure I won't have a chance to update this week at all so I wanted to get some pictures on tonight. This week as you all know is Mother's Day so of course Chris is very busy and it is also THE biggest tuxedo weekend of the year with all of the proms going on Friday & Saturday. So..... Maddi's birthday party will be postponed a bit, but that's OK. I promise I'll blog some more after that! Oh yeah - and Maddi is walking now - yay!!!!!

I can just barely fit through this door and it is so much fun!

Just making a few important phone calls
Does anyone wanna comb my hair?
